You don’t have to run to be in motion
Sometimes the most powerful move is to pause.
Hi fam,
This week, I relearned a lesson I’ve met in different shapes over the years:
You can’t outrun yourself.
You can build the brand.
You can scale the team.
You can optimize the workflow.
But if you’re doing it to escape something inside you,
it will catch up eventually.
This isn’t about burnout
it’s about avoidance in disguise.
I realized recently that I still fall into old patterns:
moving faster than I need to,
saying yes to things that feel slightly off,
trying to prove something I’ve already proven.
Not because I want more
but because I forget I already have enough.
And in these moments, the hardest part isn’t slowing down.
It’s trusting that slowing down won’t make me lose everything I’ve built.
But here’s what I’ve found to be true:
The more grounded I am,
the clearer my ideas.
The more stillness I allow,
the more momentum flows.
The most powerful people I’ve met
aren’t the loudest in the room.
They’re the ones who move with clarity, not urgency.
They don’t chase they attract.
Because they’ve already done the inner work.
So if you’re in a season where it feels like nothing is moving:
Check again.
Maybe it’s not stuck.
Maybe it’s settling.
Maybe it’s preparing you for a better kind of growth.
Let it.
Lesson learned:
You don’t have to run to be in motion.
You don’t have to chase to receive.
And you don’t have to burn out to feel worthy of success.
Stay grounded.
Stay clear.
Stay kind to yourself especially in the quiet moments.
Cheers
Markus
