Why I Hit Pause
Letting go of clients. Starting over. Realigning fully.
Hi fam,
The last few weeks I’ve been quiet here and in many areas of my life.
Sometimes, you need to cut the noise completely to realign with your vision, goals, and direction. What feels like a pause is often a reset a step back that lets you move forward with more clarity.
I’ve had to learn that. After years of nonstop building, chasing, and doing, I found one of the most powerful tools: stopping. Not for an hour. Sometimes for days. Even a full week.
It might sound strange especially if you’re in a momentum phase right now. And I won’t pretend this is something everyone should do. But when you're deeply connected with yourself, your emotions, and your intuition, you’ll feel it when it’s time to slow down.
For me, this moment was big. There wasn’t one dramatic reason just a deep shift happening as we fully double down on the business we're about to launch. To go all-in on it, I had to say no to a lot of other things.
The clarity I found during this time reaffirmed that the direction I’m heading in is the right one.
Still, these last weeks came with challenges. Ending client relationships. Dealing with delays in setting up the new entity. Despite having reserves and stability, I found myself feeling unsafe.
And that’s the thing – we all feel it. Whether it’s your first venture or your fifth, fear and doubt don’t discriminate. They show up at every stage. What matters is how you respond.
Moving forward, I’ll be sharing more thoughts like this, alongside deep dives into ecom and marketing the stuff I live and breathe every day. Whether you’re building a DTC brand, running an agency, or even launching SaaS, there’ll be insights for you.
If any of it resonates or if you have questions – hit reply. I’m building a list and will start answering the most relevant ones with my takes.
Also, if you’re interested in building your own brand, setting up SOPs, or hiring your first PA my Building a Brand community is the place. I’m sharing everything I’ve implemented in my businesses and life to build systems that scale.
Wishing you a big and focused week ahead.
Cheers,
Markus
