What’s been working for me lately.

Structure = clarity. Here’s mine.

Hi fam,

the last weeks have been intense—building the brand, running the agency, making tough decisions. But what’s stuck with me most? It’s not a big breakthrough. It’s the quiet discipline behind the scenes. The small things I do daily that keep me grounded when everything around me moves fast.

So today I want to break down a few personal reflections and routines that helped me stay clear and consistent—even when my mind wasn’t.

I’ve realised again how important structure is when life gets chaotic. Not just in business, but mentally. When my days lose structure, my thoughts do too. And the work suffers.

So instead of trying to “do more,” I’ve been trying to “do clearer.”
Fewer decisions, stronger habits.

My daily system – simple, but it works:
I use Notion and Apple Notes to track my entire week. Here’s what I focus on:

  • Weekly goals: just 3, max. No more.

  • Daily actions: 2 business tasks, 1 personal commitment.

  • One thing I must not do today.

  • One small win I want to lock in.

That’s it. No complex system. Just clarity.

This week’s books recommendation:
I started rereading The Slight Edge—still one of the simplest but most powerful concepts:

Small disciplines, consistently repeated over time, create success.

Sounds obvious. But it hits different when you're in the middle of building and things feel stuck.

My morning routine (unchanged):

  • Wake up at 6:30

  • 30 minutes quiet (no phone, no audio)

  • Quick movement / stretch

  • One page journaling: “Where am I mentally today?”

  • Coffee + planning the day (3 priorities)

It’s simple—but I treat it like a meeting with myself. That’s non-negotiable.

You don’t need the perfect system to stay consistent. You need one that fits your current season of life.
Mine changes. Yours should too.

But the core stays:

  • Clarity

  • Simplicity

  • Self-respect

Structure isn’t about control—it’s about giving yourself the space to focus on what matters.

Until next week.

Cheers
Markus
